In-Ovation System Braces: The Pros and Cons

In-Ovation self-ligating braces are fantastic treatment choice for those seeking a more streamlined look and gentle approach to orthodontics. But there are certain factors you should consider before choosing this option!

With new orthodontic technology comes new orthodontic treatment options, and In-Ovation is a great example of this. But no matter how advanced the technology, in the end the best treatment option depends on the person being treated. Read on to find out if In-Ovation is a good choice for you!

The most obvious benefit to self-ligating braces is that they have a smaller profile than traditional metal braces do. This is because they don’t require bands or ties in order to work. Instead, they use a siding mechanism.

Since they have less bulk, we find that on average our lingual braces wearers experience less friction against the insides of their mouths when they first get braces.

Another benefit of their smaller size and the lack of ties and bands is that they can be somewhat easier to clean, and not quite as likely to hold of to bits of your lunch!

Finally, in some cases treatment with self-ligating braces can be completed more quickly than with regular braces.

Otherwise, wearing self-ligating braces isn’t too different than wearing traditional metal braces. Even the difference in treatment duration isn’t enormous.

It’s also worth noting that though prices vary from place to place, on average self-ligating braces are somewhat more expensive than traditional braces are.
